This Laurentian country home was featured in the latest issue of Style at Home.
I was drawn to the open feel of the space and the feeling that you were outdoors.
The mix of materials is what makes this space unique. Rustic elements like the wood harvest table, the shelving, floors & ceilings are balanced by the lacquer kitchen cabinetry, marble backsplash and acrylic dining chairs.
The hallway might be one of my favourites. The wood beamed ceiling, the coach house lanterns and wood paneled wall is contrasted with the slate flooring, the industrial style console table and the open steel staircase.
The bedroom truly brings the outdoors in. The light coloured bedding offsets the darker wood finishes. I could see myself spending hours curled up reading in the chaise.
What do you think?
